Pepi Memory helps its owner organise useful knowledge, sources, decisions and plans in a local Markdown knowledge base.

The application supports software projects, research, practical interests and everyday planning. Google Drive provides an encrypted off-device copy and separate encrypted, versioned backups.

Why Google Drive access is requested

The desktop tools request the drive.file permission to create and manage the files used by this application. The permission is intended for application-created or explicitly authorised files, rather than unrestricted access to every file in Drive.

Local knowledge, encrypted backups

Markdown is stored locally. Selected export files are encrypted with rclone crypt before upload, including their filenames. A separate restic repository encrypts backup contents and metadata. Recovery secrets remain outside the knowledge base.

This is a personal application for its owner's use. It is not a public hosted AI service. This website describes the application; it does not sign visitors in or request access to Google Drive.
